Hero Siege Currency Delivery: Direct Trade, Marketplace, or Mailbox?

Direct trade is the only documented route that explicitly supports gold, but Hero Siege’s EULA prohibits buying in-game resources with real money.

Do not choose a Hero Siege currency delivery method from its label alone. As of August 31, 2026, direct trade is the only route among these three whose documentation explicitly says players can exchange gold. The Marketplace documentation describes buying and selling items, while the Mailbox documentation describes sending items and collecting gold from completed Marketplace sales—not attaching gold to a message.345

What must be true before any transfer can work?

The recipient needs an online character in the compatible game economy, and the account must have access to the proposed feature. Panic Art Studios says linked PanicNet accounts have Market, Mailbox, and Trading access, while unlinked accounts do not.2 Blood Pact also disables the Market and Mailbox, so a route that exists in regular online play may still be unavailable to that character.6

  • Open the intended character and record its exact visible identifier.
  • Confirm the character is in the relevant online mode and can open the proposed feature.
  • Match currency type, amount, season or non-season status, and Softcore or Hardcore mode to the offer.
  • Require the sender to name the exact route; “fast delivery” is not a route.
  • Check the amount on the receiving character before treating the transfer as complete.

Main drawbackRequires coordinated online participation and careful review before acceptance. The documented system is item-based and applies listing and collection fees.5The documentation does not say that players can attach gold directly.4
Choose instead when uncertainEarn or trade gold through a permitted in-game interaction.Use a normal in-game item listing only when that is the player’s actual goal.Use direct trade for a permitted gold transfer when the current trade screen displays gold.

Direct trade provides the clearest observable handoff, but that convenience does not make a real-money purchase permissible. The official rules prohibit the underlying transaction.1 A chat message, party invitation, or screenshot of another player’s balance is not proof that the intended character received anything.

If a listing proposes direct trade

  1. Meet through the current player or lobby interface; the documented flow begins by selecting another player in the same lobby.3
  2. Compare the displayed player identity with the agreed recipient and counterparty.
  3. Verify that the trade window labels the offered value as gold and shows the exact amount.
  4. Review both sides immediately before acceptance; leave if the amount changes.
  5. After acceptance, open the recipient’s balance or inventory and confirm the result.

This is operationally the most verifiable route, yet an external real-money currency order remains prohibited by the EULA.1 Use direct trade only for permitted in-game exchanges.

If a listing proposes the Marketplace

Hero Siege’s current Steam description presents the Tarethiel Market as a place to list items and buy gear from other players.7 The official wiki likewise describes item buying and selling and reports a 1% listing fee plus a 10% fee when collecting gold.5 Neither cited page establishes a normal mechanism for delivering a purchased quantity of gold to a designated buyer through a specially priced listing.

  • Confirm that the live listing belongs to the intended seller.
  • Match the exact item, price, quantity, and market scope before acting.
  • Calculate the effect of any displayed fees instead of assuming the listed amount equals the received amount.
  • Use the completed-market record and resulting balance as evidence.
  • Stop if the method depends on an oddly priced item, an ambiguous counterparty, or an off-screen promise.

Season 10 patch notes released in August 2026 mention a reworked Tarethiel Market filter, and a later patch fixed Market Price Check, missing tabs, socketed-item removal, crashes, and other market-interface issues.6 That confirms the system can change and makes the live screen more reliable than an older walkthrough.

If a listing proposes the Mailbox

The Mailbox page says it sends or receives items and collects gold from sold Marketplace listings.4 It does not say players can attach gold directly. Treat “gold by mail” as unverified unless the current compose screen visibly offers a gold attachment field for the intended character.

  • Read the full recipient identifier before sending anything.
  • Confirm the attachment type and amount on the compose screen.
  • Check any visible collection, expiry, or return terms; the cited documentation does not specify them.
  • Distinguish “sent” from “received” by checking the intended character’s inbox and balance.
  • Do not accept a seller’s dispatch screenshot as final evidence.

For a broader example of how mail, trade, and auction systems require different evidence, compare the route fields in the following decision.

The same principle applies in other games: the named delivery method is secondary to the exact recipient and supported transfer mechanism. The comparison of the following delivery models provides another useful example.

When to leave the option

  • The seller treats a method name as proof without showing the current game screen.
  • The account is unlinked or the character is in a mode where the proposed feature is disabled.26
  • The Marketplace is described as a direct gold-delivery channel without a reproducible live transaction.
  • The Mailbox is claimed to support gold attachments without a visible attachment field.
  • The sender, recipient, currency, amount, season status, or mode is ambiguous.
  • The amount changes after the transfer starts.
  • Credentials, account sharing, remote access, or authentication codes are requested.
  • Receipt cannot be confirmed on the intended character.
  • Real money is requested for currency, items, or in-game services, which the EULA prohibits.1

The supported choice

For a permitted in-game exchange, direct trade is the clearest documented option for gold because both players can observe the amount in the accepted trade flow.3 Use the Marketplace for ordinary item listings and the Mailbox for documented item messages or collection of Marketplace-sale proceeds.45 If those routes are unavailable, earn currency through play or use another currently documented in-game system.

G2G is one contextual place where currently listed digital-product options may be compared, but a listing and delivery label do not override Hero Siege’s prohibition on real-money trading.1 Do not complete a currency purchase while that rule remains in force.

Compare current Hero Siege currency purchase options

The final decision is straightforward: do not buy Hero Siege currency for real money under the current EULA. Keep direct trade, the Marketplace, and the Mailbox for transfers that the live game supports and its rules permit.1
