Use the updated Career and Competitive Hub
Patch 13.06 puts top Agents, match history and rank on Career. Open Career > Competitive Hub for the current Act overview, then Rank Legacy for ranks achieved. Friends can view Career and the hub overview, but dedicated pages are visible only to the account user. A public profile image therefore does not expose every detailed record.[2]
Each rank can increment its Rank Legacy counter once per three-Act group, ActsI–III and IV–VI; demoting into a rank does not increment it. Accolades tracking also starts with Patch 13.06 without backfilling historical matches, so its new records are not a complete earlier career.[2]
Check Competitive access in the live lobby
- Select Competitive in the lobby.
- Read Start availability, remaining placements and any lock or restriction message.
- For a first-time ranked account, check level 20. Keep the documented pre-Patch 4.0 ranked-access exception separate.[3]
- If Verify Account replaces Start, complete the required Riot Mobile MFA.[4]
- Compare this state with Career’s current rank and the Competitive Hub from the same capture.[2]
The current MFA FAQ covers accounts that reach Ascendant or above and accounts suspected of sharing. It applies in every region, including EU and APAC. Dropping below Ascendant does not remove it, and another authenticator app cannot replace Riot Mobile for this ranked requirement.[4]
Placements and integrity action can change the displayed state
The current ranked FAQ requires five placements at Season and Mid-Season resets, identified as Acts 1 and 4. It specifies one placement for Acts 2 and 3 after initial placements are complete. For another Act, read the actual remaining-placement prompt rather than substituting an earlier rank image for present placement completion.[1]
Riot prohibits purchasing, borrowing and sharing accounts; confirmed manipulation can cause suspensions and reversions of RR, MMR and rank rewards. A high tier is therefore not a fixed asset or an authorized progress-transfer mechanism simply because login details can be changed.[5]
When comparing Competitive account configurations, match current rank/RR, remaining placements, live queue access and Riot Mobile verification. These concrete states describe current usability better than an exact advertised “high MMR” figure.

When hidden MMR is above displayed rank, RR tends to pull rank upward through larger gains on wins than losses on defeats. When MMR is below rank, wins can add less while losses subtract more. Match outcome has the largest effect, with other performance factors also contributing, so the same visible tier can produce different RR changes.[1] [7]
For example, Gold 2 at 80 RR identifies the current tier and RR. To understand the account’s next ranked step, read remaining placements in the live lobby, recent win/loss RR changes and any Rank Shields shown. Hidden MMR has no exact player-facing number; Riot’s developer policy prohibits MMR/ELO calculators.[1] [6]
A loss at zero RR is not always immediate demotion
The Iron-through-Ascendant FAQ grants two Rank Shields when entering Tier 1 of a rank through promotion or demotion. They protect a rank boundary such as Silver 1 to Bronze, not a tier change such as Silver 2 to Silver 1. Read remaining shields alongside a zero-RR snapshot before interpreting its immediate demotion position.[1]
Riot’s 2020 Act Rank example shows a season selector and historical badge. Use the account’s current Career and post-Patch 13.06 Competitive Hub to distinguish today’s records.[2] [8]
Match the current configuration to your ranked party
A past peak and a completed current placement are different configurations even when their listing titles use the same tier. Compare the required current tier, usable Competitive queue and a Riot Mobile approval method you control. Future RR and MMR will continue responding to actual play.[1] [4]
