How Death and Failed Extraction Affect ARC Raiders Item Delivery

A raid handoff is not durable delivery when death can remove the item. Check extraction, Safe Pocket, completion, retry, and dispute terms before paying.

An ARC Raiders item is not safely delivered merely because the seller drops it or you pick it up during a raid. If your Raider is knocked out topside, the game removes carried gear and loot except items in the Safe Pocket.1 More importantly, Embark prohibits trading in-game items for money or anything else of value and says participating accounts risk enforcement, including a ban.2 The safest decision is therefore not to purchase ARC Raiders items for real money.

When is an item actually delivered?

Separate the marketplace order from possession inside the game. A typical delivery flow can include six distinct events: the order is accepted, a session is arranged, the item is dropped, you collect it, you return to Speranza with it, and the marketplace order is completed. A listing must state which event counts as delivery. Otherwise, a seller may regard the drop as complete while you expect the item to reach persistent inventory.

The first three arrangements differ in loss exposure, but none resolves the account-policy problem. Embark acknowledges that dropping items for another player can be technically possible while still prohibiting any exchange for money or other value.2 Do not treat a successful extraction as proof that a paid transaction is permitted.

What happens if you die before extraction?

Embark’s current beginner guidance, checked on 31 August 2026, says a Raider knocked out topside loses everything except the contents of the Safe Pocket. That includes equipment brought into the raid and items scavenged during it.1 A purchased item carried in an ordinary backpack, equipped slot, or other unprotected position can therefore disappear before the buyer returns to Speranza.

The Safe Pocket changes the normal loss result for an eligible item, but it should not be assumed to fit every proposed delivery. Before entering a session, the buyer would need to see that an appropriate Safe Pocket slot is available and that the exact item can be placed there. A seller’s promise cannot override the inventory state shown in the buyer’s game.

A disconnect does not come with a general replacement promise

Connection failures are another unresolved risk unless the seller’s written terms allocate them. Embark’s troubleshooting pages recommend connection checks but do not promise that an item lost during an ordinary disconnect will be restored.3 In March 2026, Embark described a particular server incident that removed loadouts even after successful extraction and said it would return items where possible as an exception, while noting that compensation is not normally offered for every incident.4

Embark currently provides automated loot compensation when a confirmed cheater knocked out the player, but support cannot manually issue or accelerate that compensation.5 That narrow process should not be read as protection against ordinary death, a failed extraction, a disconnect, or a seller’s delivery mistake.

Read the seller’s completion and retry terms

Before any marketplace decision, the written instructions would need to answer whether delivery occurs at the drop, collection, extraction, stash confirmation, or marketplace confirmation. They should also identify the exact item and quantity, party requirements, loadout and inventory-space requirements, included attempts, replacement limits, deadlines, and who bears a loss caused by either party or a service interruption.

G2G’s current seller rules require sellers to use the selected delivery method, meet the stated delivery time, and upload matching screenshot or video proof.6 Those general rules do not establish that a particular ARC Raiders seller will replace an item lost after a raid handoff. Only the actual listing and recorded order conversation can answer that question.

G2G says an order marked delivered is automatically completed after three days if the buyer does not confirm it.7 Its current item-dispute process directs a buyer to report the issue, gives the seller 48 hours to respond, and then permits escalation; failing to act within the stated windows can close the case.8 Save the listing, order page, full conversation, timestamps, and unedited evidence before those windows expire.

The distinction between a transfer channel and completed delivery also appears in other gaming markets. The comparison of mail, trade, and auction delivery shows why the completion event must be defined before payment.

Questions that must be answered before payment

  • Does the seller call the order delivered when the item is dropped, collected, extracted, or visible in persistent inventory?
  • Who replaces an item lost before extraction, and how many attempts are included?
  • What happens if the seller dies, the buyer dies, either player disconnects, or the service fails?
  • Must the buyer provide a character ID, platform, region, party details, loadout, or an empty Safe Pocket slot?
  • Which screenshots or video establish the item, quantity, handoff, extraction result, and final inventory state?
  • When may the seller mark the order delivered, and when may the buyer confirm receipt?
  • Does the proposed transaction comply with Embark’s current rules? The current answer for a real-money item trade is no.2

Which alternative fits your risk tolerance?

An experienced, coordinated squad may reduce the chance of an ordinary failed extraction, but it cannot make a paid item trade compliant with Embark’s policy. A player unwilling to lose the item should reject any terms that complete delivery at the drop or pickup. A player unwilling to risk account enforcement should decline every real-money ARC Raiders item purchase and use permitted gameplay or official in-game acquisition instead.

Matching the correct destination remains useful whenever a game permits third-party delivery. The separate region, realm, and faction checklist illustrates how a wrong recipient environment can defeat a transaction before delivery begins.

If you still compare a listing

Treat G2G only as a place where current listings and their written conditions may be compared. Do not infer that a seller offers extraction-based retries, Safe Pocket delivery, replacement, or a refund unless those exact terms appear in the listing and order record. Marketplace procedures also do not cancel Embark’s prohibition on paid item trading.26

Final check before you decide

  1. Read Embark’s current ban and enforcement page. If the exchange involves money or anything else of value, decline it.
  2. Confirm the exact item, variant, and quantity rather than relying on a listing image.
  3. Identify whether the proposed handoff occurs topside and whether successful extraction is required.
  4. Write down the event that counts as completed delivery.
  5. Check the buyer’s actual Safe Pocket availability and whether the item can enter it; do not rely on an assumption.
  6. Require written responsibility for buyer death, seller death, disconnects, failed extraction, and service interruption.
  7. Record the number of attempts, replacement limits, cancellation terms, and dispute deadlines.
  8. Keep the listing, order page, chat, timestamps, and complete delivery evidence inside the marketplace system.
  9. Do not confirm receipt merely because the item appeared during the raid; confirm only after checking the agreed completion condition.
  10. Choose permitted gameplay or official in-game acquisition instead of a paid item trade.

A successful extraction can settle where an item ended up, but it cannot make a prohibited paid trade safe. Because Embark currently forbids exchanging ARC Raiders items for money or other value, the supported choice is to decline the purchase.2
