A visible Honor level and an enabled Ranked queue answer two separate questions. Neither proves a clean penalty history, and neither removes the account-control risk. Riot’s terms prohibit selling, transferring, sharing, or allowing another person to access an account or its login credentials.1 If lasting access matters, continuing on an account you control is the safer choice.
The conditions below were checked on August 31, 2026 for Riot-operated League of Legends regions. In markets served by a third-party publisher, that publisher’s terms may supersede parts of Riot’s terms.1 Confirm the live region before applying any eligibility requirement.
Account rules outweigh a favorable status screen
A password change does not make an account transfer permitted. Riot grants a personal, non-transferable, revocable license and says accounts and login credentials cannot be sold, transferred, shared, or offered for transfer.1 That drawback remains even if every advertised Honor and ranked claim matches the client.
What can each account claim actually prove?

The largest evidence gap is penalty history. Riot’s current chat-restriction page explains the notice shown for an active restriction, while its Honor-restriction page explains that penalties can lock Honor progress and reduce Honor level.45 These current effects can be visible; a complete lifetime history is not established by an absent notice or a favorable Honor level.

- Ask for a fresh, uncropped capture or live view from Profile > Overview. Riot identifies that path as the place to check the account’s current Honor level.2
- Match the visible Riot ID and stated region to the same account evidence without requesting login credentials.
- Record the displayed level as confirmed only for the evidence date. A listing label or isolated badge remains seller-stated.
- Look for a locked Honor state or an active restriction notice. Riot says chat restrictions can reduce Honor to level 1—or level 0 when already at level 1—and lock Honor progress during rehabilitation.5
- Do not convert “Honor level matches” into “no previous penalties.” Keep the penalty-history field separate.
Treat penalty history as unknown when the record is incomplete
An active chat restriction should produce a login message that states how long remains, and the restriction can also appear in a penalty notification.4 That makes a current restriction confirmable when the notice is visible.
The reverse conclusion is not justified. The absence of that notice does not produce a documented lifetime record, and Honor can be affected by penalties and later rehabilitation.5 Use only three labels:
- Confirmed: a current notice, restriction, or locked Honor state is visible on fresh account-specific evidence.
- Seller-stated: the seller asserts a clean history, but no independent lifetime record is available.
- Unknown: the evidence is missing, stale, inconsistent, or incapable of proving the claimed history.
Check Ranked access separately from displayed rank
For current Summoner’s Rift Solo/Duo and Flex access, Riot’s April 2026 unlock rules require level 30, ownership of at least 20 champions, and completion of 10 Swiftplay or Normal Draft games.3 A previous rank, match-history result, or profile emblem does not by itself confirm that the queue can be entered now.
- Open the live queue selector and check whether the intended Ranked queue is enabled.
- Confirm account level 30 or higher, at least 20 owned champions, and the required normal-game progress.3
- Record the region and evidence date; do not reconcile screens from different accounts or regions.
- Check for a current suspension, queue lock, or other visible restriction before treating access as confirmed.
- Describe the result as “currently selectable,” not guaranteed future access. Riot’s account license is revocable and accounts may be suspended or terminated under its terms.1

- Record current restrictions as present, none visible, or unknown—never as a lifetime conclusion.
- Open the intended Ranked queue and reconcile every current unlock requirement.3
- Match the account region and Riot ID across the evidence.
- Mark the clean-history claim seller-stated or unknown unless the exact claim is independently established.
- Treat Riot’s non-transfer rule as a decisive drawback, not a minor listing detail.1
- Choose an account you control whenever recovery control, policy compliance, or missing history matters more than advertised progress.
A suitable decision requires three separate results: the current Honor display matches, the intended Ranked queue is currently selectable, and no decisive uncertainty is being disguised as a clean-history claim. If the penalty history or account control remains unresolved, keep building progress on an account you control.
