SuperGrok Subscription Not Showing? Match the Receipt and Login

If SuperGrok still says Free after payment, keep the receipt and match its billing account and sign-in method to the Grok account before paying again.

Do not subscribe again. Save the receipt, identify where you paid, and sign in to Grok using the identity that owns that purchase. SuperGrok follows the account used at checkout, so a completed charge may not appear when the app or website is open under a different Apple, Google, X or Grok login.1

What does the receipt say?

The receipt should answer two questions before you change anything: who processed the payment and which account received it. A payment record and the SuperGrok plan shown inside Grok are separate records; the table below shows where they can become disconnected.

If the payment failed, xAI may downgrade the account or suspend paid access until payment is received.5 If the transaction is still pending or has been reversed, wait for the billing provider’s final record rather than creating another order. Continue only when the receipt shows that the intended purchase completed.

If Apple billed you

Open Grok on the device where you normally use it and look for a restore-purchase option. Apple says restorable purchases should be restored from the app while the device is signed in to the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.2

  1. Match the Apple Account to the receipt before using Restore Purchases.
  2. Sign in to Grok with the same method used when the subscription was created.
  3. If you used Apple’s private-relay address, choose Sign in with Apple; xAI says entering that relay address through Google or email sign-in will not identify the same subscription.1
  4. Use Restore Purchases only if Grok currently displays that control.
  5. If the charge remains unrestored, keep a screenshot of the Free plan screen and contact the app developer; Apple also offers Report a Problem for charged purchases.2

Restoring can reconnect an App Store purchase, but it cannot attach the purchase to a different Grok identity. Do not cycle through unrelated email addresses or delete the receipt.

If Google Play shows the subscription

A Google Play subscription can sit under a different Google Account from the address used inside Grok. Google advises checking the account that contains the subscription and notes that the email used in the app may differ from the paying Google Account.3

  1. Open Google Play and select the Google Account identified by the receipt.
  2. Check that account’s subscription record before changing the login inside Grok.3
  3. Return to Grok and use the sign-in method associated with the original purchase.
  4. Update and restart the app, then check the plan screen again; xAI currently recommends restarting, signing out and back in, clearing the cache and keeping the app updated for activation mismatches.1
  5. If the subscription is present in Google Play but absent from the matched Grok account, send the redacted order details to xAI. Google identifies the app developer as the party that handles undelivered subscription content.34

Changing the Google Account selected in Play does not by itself change the Grok account open in the app. Check both identities separately.

If you paid on grok.com

Sign in to the Grok account used at checkout and open Settings > Billing. xAI currently provides grok.com/?_s=billing for web subscription management and recommends another browser or an incognito window when an extension blocks the management control.1

If the receipt belongs to that account but Billing does not show the subscription, use Report an issue or reply to the receipt email with the invoice number.1 Keep consumer SuperGrok receipts separate from xAI API invoices, which belong to a different billing system.1

If you normally sign in through X

Open Settings > Account in Grok and inspect the connected X account. You can also review your xAI sign-in methods at accounts.x.ai. xAI says linking an X account lets it retrieve that account’s X subscription status and apply the relevant benefits.1

Linking X does not move a SuperGrok purchase made under another Grok identity. X Premium billing and a separate SuperGrok subscription also have different support routes.1 If you are unsure which product appears on the receipt, compare the two before making another payment.

If you see more than one charge

Do not assume two visible charges represent the same subscription. Compare the provider, order number, date, purchasing account and Grok login for each record. xAI says a web subscription missing from an app can be caused by signing in with a different account; genuine charges on two platforms should be sent to support.1

  • Save a redacted receipt or order number for every charge.
  • Record each charge’s provider, date, amount, currency and current status.
  • Add only a masked identifier for the paying Apple, Google, X or Grok account.
  • Note which Grok login, if any, received SuperGrok access.
  • Capture the plan screen that still says Free.
  • Record the device, operating system, app version or browser used.

Keep the original emails and screenshots while the records are being compared. A charge dispute will not restore missing access, so first determine whether the charge is recognized, duplicated or attached to another account.

What should you send to support?

For a completed purchase missing from the matched account, use Grok’s Report an issue control or reply to the receipt email. xAI currently asks for the account email, platform, browser or operating system, invoice or receipt number and a relevant screenshot.1

  • Redacted receipt, invoice or order number
  • Completed transaction status and purchase date
  • Billing provider and masked purchasing-account identifier
  • Grok account identifier and original sign-in method
  • Screenshot showing that the matched account still says Free
  • Device, operating system and app or browser context
  • Both payment records if duplicate charges are involved

Send questions about payment ownership or transaction status to the provider named on the receipt. Send a completed but undelivered SuperGrok entitlement to xAI with the matched account evidence. Never include a password, authentication code, recovery code, access token or full card number.

If the plan is visible and the message concerns a weekly allowance, the subscription has been recognized; troubleshoot usage instead of billing. xAI places the current usage percentage and reset time under Settings > Usage.1

When is a new purchase safe?

Consider another purchase only after the first payment was reversed, access was restored, or support identified and resolved the account or billing problem. Otherwise, another order can create a second charge without fixing the mismatched login.

Any future subscription should remain on an account you own and control. SpaceXAI’s consumer terms prohibit sharing account credentials or making an account available to another person.5 On 29 August 2026, G2G displayed separate top-up and account categories, and its account category included shared and private account products.67 Reject shared credentials and transferred accounts; only consider a listing whose written delivery method applies the purchase to your own account without requesting your password.
